The long way around making your own dryer sheets. Also, the short.

Long Way Around :

What you'll need: A medium size bowl (one that won't absorb odors )
Pleasant scented liquid fabric softener
Squares of cotton from an old t-shirt ( I chose this material on account of the fact that it requires no hemming.)
Somewhere to hang your pleasantly scented squares of cotton
Glass jar of sorts for storing

Instructions: Place your cotton squares in a medium bowl.

Pour softener over cotton squares. ( I have chosen a lavender scent.) Let this soak overnight.

Wring out cotton squares and hang them until dry.

Place in jar for storage.

Short way around:

Place squares of cotton in glass jar.
Pour fabric softener over squares.

- I had learned that if you use fabric softener with essential oils, the scent fades while in the drying process. So I ended up having to place additional softener in the jar anyways. But, the great thing about these are that they can be reused multiple times, and you can really only make one if you'd like. Fabric softener ends up lasting a really long time, and there is no waste from discarded sheets.

-Also, I am aware this has nothing to do with dryer sheets, but this was tasty so here is a picture of it.

Mashed red and sweet potatoes with asparagus, zucchini and a vegan mushroom gravy. Topped with creamy chevre and cracked pepper. Mmmm....
